It's Tea Time ☕️☕️

"You can't buy happiness but you can buy tea and that's pretty much the same thing"

Where to begin ? Tea is always been one of my favourite drinks, not only is there thousands of different tea's but so many different blends and ways to drink this delicious cup of goodness.

Tasting, smelling and seeing tea, are all aspects which contribute to the enjoyment of the experience. Every tea has a secret flavour and personality waiting to be discovered and enjoyed which is why so many people absolutely adore tea.

There are over 3000 different types of teas, no wonder this beverage has earned its reputation for numerous benefits and has been treasured for thousands of years.

Tea Types ;

  • White tea

  • Green tea

  • Oolong tea

  • Black tea

  • Puerh tea

  • Yerba mate tea

  • Rooibos tea (bush tea)

  • Mint tea

  • Chamomile

  • Loose tea

  • Fruit tea

  • Herbal tea

  • Flower tea

And many many more.

When talking about all these different types of teas... people may not realize that all teas are not actually tea. As "tea" comes from the plant species Camellia Sinensis, how amazing ? Endless varieties and complexities of tea all come from this one amazing plant. Unfortunately most of the tea's that we enjoy (rooibos, herbal tea, fruit tea) are not actually teas,as these blends are a combination of plants but just not from that specifics Camellia Sinensis plant therefore it cannot be considered a true tea but tea is still tea.

Many people enjoy the black tea blends which are actually a true tea, so when the leaves fall off of this one amazing tea plant then they are left to completely wither, this process is known as oxidisation but let's not get technical. So skilled tea masters combine teas from different regions around the world to create these unique blends of black tea that can't be enjoyed with our without milk, sugar, honey or lemon.

Green tea's are also extremely popular true tea's enjoyed by many people, as they are the least processed tea's. Creating these amazing green tea blends involves plucking the leaves off the plant once the leaves are healthy and have opened. These tea's are best enjoyed without milk or sugar.

White tea's may not be the most popular amongst the tea types but they are definitely one of my favourites. High quality white tea are handpicked off the tree and given much care to ensure gentle drying is the only process the leaves are exposed to. The white appearance comes from the tea leaves that are plucked before they open and they have silver hairs on the new buds.

Rooibos, I think everyone has tried a cup of rooibos at least once in their life as it's the best caffeine free herbal infusion ever ! This tea is made from the green leaves of a plant called Aspalathus Linearis which is harvested and then processed so the green leaves turn to a deep red. Many people blend rooibos with delicious flavoures to create a mouth watering healthy beverage that can be enjoyed with or without milk.

Herbal tea, the magical blend of leaves, flowers and roots that helps us lose weight and stay healthy. Herbal tea has been enjoyed for thousands of years by Ancient Egyptians as they are hundreds of flavoures extracted and used to create satisfying blends of tea. Fruit tea has also been enjoyed for thousands of years as it's a caffeine free alternative to tradional teas. Packed full of flavour and vitamins, fruit teas taste great hot or cold.
