My love for creating beautiful cakes.

I have always enjoyed baking and making cakes but It has taken years of practice and a thousand recipies to finally bake the perfect cake. 

A few years ago I discovered this wonderful thing called "fondant" and as amazing as good old buttercream is nothing compared to the possibilities of beautiful cakes using this simple sweet fluffy dough like mixture. I began to enjoy playing around covering cakes, creating flowers and of course eating it.

 I attempted a few home recipies using marshmellows but nothing compared to the store bought fondant as it's quick to use and always creates flawless final products. I unfortunately live in a very humid environment so I had many difficulties working with it but practice makes perfect. 

After a while of constantly doing the same thing I tried something new, piped buttercream rossetes and trust me every single cake or cupcake I have made from here on out as some sort of pipped buttercream rose because they are amazing. 

I then started playing around with pipping different colours and different shapes and creating different flavoures and this is when I started selling my cakes and cupcakes. 

I loved getting new orders and always got excited to bake a new cake or try something new with cupcakes.

I have now found a new craze which is naked cakes with beautiful flowers and I think these definitely beat any fondant cake as they are so elegant and you can use any colours and create amazing cakes which are so simple and easy. These naked cakes require delicious flavoures which is an exciting part of baking a cake is playing around with flavoures to creat something different and delicious ! 

I am unfortunately still on the lookout for a flawless, fulproof, delicious chocolate cake recipie. 

I am excited to be starting my blog and I look forward to sharing all my new creations with you.
